Welcome to the Philanthropy Data Commons (PDC)!

This guide outlines the initial onboarding steps for changemaker organizations participating in the PDC and Exchange. Please review the sections below and share the requested information prior to your scheduled onboarding call.

STEP 2: User Access Setup

Exchange uses secure authentication to provide your staff with access. PDC prefers to connect to your existing identity management systems to use existing multi-factor authentication instead of creating a new setup for each user. To provision your account, we first need to confirm:

1. Your Organization’s Identity Provider (IdP):(Required)

STEP 3: Initial Data Upload

What is Changemaker Direct?

Changemaker Direct is PDC’s standardized template that allows changemakers to share core organizational profile and program data.

This is the fastest way to:

establish your organization’s record in Exchange
reduce duplicative data requests over time
ensure your information is accurate and up to date

Please download the csv file and use it to help us load your data into PDC.

Template Instructions:

Fill out as many fields as you are able
Leave blank anything you don’t have available or do not want to share
Return the completed template to the PDC team

STEP 4: Additional Data Upload

Changemaker Direct includes the core baseline fields needed to get started. However, some organizations choose to contribute additional information beyond the template.
